If you’re hosting this season and want a signature cocktail that feels elevated but couldn’t be easier to pull together, these Big Batch Sparkling Honey Palomas are it. I first made this recipe for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, and every time I’ve shared it on Instagram, it’s taken off (I’ll never forget seeing the like from Jessica Alba!). This one went viral for a reason — it’s refreshing, not overly sweet, made with simple, real ingredients (no sugary mixers here), and the color is beautiful!
I love serving it in a large dispenser on the bar with a bowl of sliced citrus and prepping some glasses with pink salt rims or tajin rims – it creates that easy “help yourself” moment that makes hosting feel effortless and fun. And since it’s made in a big batch, you’re not stuck playing bartender all night.
I can’t wait for you to try this cocktail — the combination of fresh grapefruit juice, lime, a touch of honey, and tequila is bright, citrusy, and just the right amount of sweet — finished with sparkling water for a crisp, bubbly kick. The kind of drink people go back for again and again!
Ingredients
Serves about 25 (adjust as needed)
8 cups fresh grapefruit juice
2 cups fresh lime juice
1 cup honey
1 cup warm water
3–4 cups tequila blanco (depending on how strong you like it)
4 cans sparkling water (I love grapefruit LaCroix, but any works)
Ice
For garnish:
sliced oranges, grapefruits, and limes
Himalayan pink salt for the rims of glasses
optional: tajin for the rims of glasses
Instructions
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the honey and warm water (not boiling—you want to preserve the honey’s benefits). Stir until the honey fully dissolves into a smooth syrup. Let it cool completely. You can also do this step in a saucepan on the stove.
- In a large drink dispenser, add the grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila (start with 3 cups and adjust to taste), and sparkling water.
- Once the honey syrup has cooled, pour it into the mixture and stir everything well to combine.
- Place in the fridge to chill. When ready to serve, add ice into the dispenser (pre-chilling helps prevent the ice from melting too quickly and diluting the cocktail).
- Add sliced grapefruit, lime, and oranges into the dispenser to make it extra gorgeous!
- To serve, run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip it into pink salt or tajin. Fill the glass with ice, pour in the paloma, and garnish with fresh citrus slices. Cheers!
Fresh Squeezed vs. Storebought Juices
Fresh squeezed juice is obviously fabulous will give you the brightest flavor, but let’s be real — it’s not always practical when you’re prepping for a party and making bulk cocktails. I typically use store-bought to save time, but I always look for options that are 100% juice. The ingredient list should just have a single ingredient (like ‘grapefruit juice’ or ‘lime juice’) and no added sugar or fillers. I used Evolution Organic and it worked perfectly.

Drink Dispenser
This is the $10 dispenser I served it in (a great Target find!), but I always prefer serving in glass, so I’ve since purchased this glass one, which is perfect!

Make It Your Hosting Moment
This is one of those recipes that does double duty — it tastes amazing and doubles as bar decor. A big glass dispenser filled with citrus slices and fun accoutrements instantly elevates your bar and makes everything feel more intentional without any extra effort.
Add a bowl of garnishes, a plate of salted rims, and you’re done. Easy, beautiful, and guaranteed to be a crowd favorite. Cheers to simple, feel-good hosting!
