These overnight oats are one of those recipes that once you start making them, you never stop. Some variation of overnight oats live in my fridge on repeat because theyโre filling, easy, and take almost no effort. They make my mornings so much less stressful as I’m trying to race out the door to get to drop-off on time, and I love having something ready that feels nourishing but also tastes like a little treat. Theyโre perfect for busy mornings, pre-workout fuel, or even a mid-afternoon snack when you need something that actually holds you over.
I always make a few jars at a time so breakfast is done for days. Itโs one of the simplest ways to stay consistent without having to think about food every morning. And a quick tip: use a protein powder you truly love. Since it flavors the entire jar, the taste matters! This is the one I’ve been using (you can use code LINDSAY to save 10%).
And since half the fun of overnight oats is glass jars you store them in — here are two of my favorites. These are perfect to take on the go because the lid stays nice and secure, and these are just extra cute and fun!
Ingredients
serves 1
1/2 cup organic gluten-free quick oats
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sheep’s milk yogurt
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (make sure you like the taste because a protein powder with a bad aftertaste will make or break a recipe!)
Your favorite berries for topping
Instructions
- Add the protein powder and almond milk into your jar. Stir to combine.
- Add, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Add the oats and chia seeds. Stir really well to fully combine and break up any remaining protein powder clumps.
- Place the lid on the jar and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight for best texture.
- When ready to eat, stir again. Add another small dollop of yogurt and top with your favorite berries. Enjoy!
Couldn’t be easier! No cooking, no mess, no stress. These are one of my favorite ways to stay ahead during busy weeks. A few minutes of prep and you have a breakfast that feels intentional, filling, and actually enjoyable.
