With summer vacations in full effect, all of my clients, friends, and family members have been requesting the same thing – a detox to help them reset. And nope, not a juice cleanse or anything dramatic that’s going to make them hangry and miserable. We’re talking a detox for the real girl – something easy, attainable, and delicious. โ
I was chatting with my dear friend Gaby, of the amazing What’s Gaby Cooking the other day, and as we were catching up on her incredible trip to Greece, she asked me for some pointers on a quick and easy reset to get her feeling her best before the 4th of July. We decided we’d do a 5-day detox together, and after getting super excited about it, we figured we’d share it on our blogs so you can join in with us too! So here we go, the #pieceofcakedetox is starting tomorrow and we can’t wait to rock it with you!
Here’s the breakdown:

So basically, we’re focusing on real, whole, unprocessed foods for 5 days. We’re going to fill up on tons of healthy fats, all the fresh veggies, high-quality sources of protein, and we’re committing to drinking plenty of water. We’ll limit our sugar, refined carb, and alcohol intake, and we’ll make an effort to be active each day. And because it’s summer and this detox is going through the weekend, we’re even including two splurges as part of the plan. Piece of cake right? Stick to the plan as much as you can and by Sunday, you’ll be feeling great!
